  • This was the first time we have had the opportunity to view petroglyphs of any kind and it was worth the drive to see them. We didn't walk the whole trail, but even for those that are not very phyisca...  more »
  • While there are better ancient Native American places in Nevada, this is certainly worth a stop on your way across Highway 50. There is a nice trail that shows you the best petroglyphs. You can also s...  more »
  • We've tried both the Petroglyphs and Hidden Cave hikes. Both were fun. The cave hike was a little tougher, recommend the petroglyphs for families.  more »

  • This place was so cool. Took my daughter for a short hike. I couldn't believe that all these petroglyphs were just right off the road and free to visit. In California this would surely be a fee area with park rangers etc. But there's nobody at this place. You can walk wherever you want. And you can watch the fighter jets take off and land at the Fallon Air Station and sometimes they fly right over your head like at an air show. I plan on coming back here and exploring some more in the future. Hopefully this place will remain open and free and unmolested for the near future and beyond.
  • A nice little hike around in the rocks looking at petroglyphs. The trail, about 0.5 miles is nicely maintained. My wife, who is recovering from broken ankle surgery 2.5 months ago, had no problems with the walk. Make sure to drive over and check out the caves while you're there. Those trails are more difficult, for a broken ankle, but are worth the walk.
  • If you are traveling the loneliest highway, US 50 take a chance and stop at Crimes Point. You will have a chance to see some pictographs. The hike is easy and it is short. No need for much equipment, most specimen are close to the trail. There are bathrooms and plenty of parking.
  • A fantastic stop for a short day hike, there are Native American carvings on some of the boulders scattered around the paths. I would reccomend stopping and looking around for any one travelling by.
  • Cool place. So much to learn about the native people and landscape of this area. Take the time to stop at museum in Fallon to find times for a guided trip to the hidden cave.
