  • I checked attractions around Fallon online and saw the Grimes Point as a good candidate for a visit. As it turned out, this was a great little hike and exploration activity. From the parking lot I sta...  read more »
  • This is an easy walk off the highway to see beautiful petroglyphs with nice explanations and beautiful views.
  • The trails give some length options for more or less adventurous folks. Neat petroglyphs. Dog and folks enjoyed the hike
  • Love this place. Good hiking trails and very pretty scenic views. Lots of caves to explore and you can even camp out there for free.( not an actual Campground you have to find a place in the desert) they also have a lot of Indian petroglyphs. Worth a visit
  • A winding trail takes you though an area with low boulders displaying petroglyhs. It's across Route 50 from Fallon NAS, so you can also watch the jets take off and land.
  • This is a well maintained park with dry heads (bathrooms) and a few choices of walking trails. The trails are pleasant and there are shaded picnic tables in the central parking area. The shorter trail for seeing most of the petroglyphs is about a mile and we'll worth the stop if you are on highway 50.
  • Great place to learn about history and go for a hike. Also a rest stop for long trips.
  • It's kind of crazy to stand where others did at a time so far in the past that Fallon was underwater and these rocks were on a beach. If you are near Fallon, Grimes Point is worth a visit.
