  • Please do not let the rantings of the internet trolls discourage you. This place is lovely, full of history, and a welcome escape from more commercial historical sites. It is about a 10 minute drive f...  more »
  • The grounds are well maintained. There's a tiny museum, picnic shelters, and a children's playground all in the shadow of a gigantic obelisk put in place to 'honor' the man who led the ill fated Confe...  more »

  • Although I didn't get to your the inside because it had closed before I arrived, I give it 5-stars simply based on having such a unique historical site in the middle of nowhere. As I was leaving, a young couple of color was exploring the grounds and the monument. What a statement about where we are now versus the struggles of equality from the time in which the monument represents.
  • I've been to the Jefferson Davis Historic Site many times, but this was the first time I've been since the confederate battle flag controversy. I was pleased to see that the Bonnie Blue flag was flying here. This is a nice site for a picnic and the museum is small but very informative. I love history, and I enjoy visiting historic places.
  • Love teaching my home schooled child about American history.. it would be a shame if this got taken down. You cannot hope to change the future if u cannot see into the past.. this is part of history like it or not.. Winston Churchill said, if u open a quarrel between the past and the present we will find that we have surely lost the future! So you libtards need to shut up and sit down
  • Nice place to visit and quiet place to have a picnic. Also has historic meaning.
  • Great place to ride the motorcycle to or bring the kids to! Especially if they have history projects to do!
