Great food. Most of their wines are okay if not a bit dry. Better than average selection of beer. The outdoor seating is relaxing.
We will be going back but mostly because the owner was entirely gracious and kind about our bad food and service. Rusted lettuce, cold fried food , absent server, etc. Our server was nowhere to be found so we found a manager who turned out to really be the owner. She was incredibly understanding, explained it was a weird between- shift time, and apologized. Five stars for authentic customer care. Fewer stars for the food, but we'll be back at a less hectic time of day to see What the food's like when the chef is in.
We were regular customers until recently due to very poor food quality over the last few months. The most recent experience was a complete disaster. The two steaks ordered were the both undercooked and a different size then ordered. In addtion to the improperly prepared steaks we did not recieve the sides we ordered and did not included the listed sause with the appetizer in are to go order.
Beautiful setting, building, outdoor area and restaurant. I had heard so much about the restaurant and was anxious to go during my recent visit to Fairmont. We had a party of 4 and 2 of us ordered the Reuben platter. I had their homemade onion rings as well. I asked specifically if the chef could give me as lean cut corned beef as possible. The waitress even asked him and she told me he said he would do his best. It was stringy fatty and the worst Reubens I have ever had. The onion rings were awful. I think the chef must have given me the part he was supposed to throw away. None of us were happy with our meals but I was the only one who complained and was not charged. Very disappointed and not able to recommend the food at all.
Great food, great service. Fantastic drinks.
