  • We enjoyed our stay at Fairfield Lake State Park. They could use some better signage after you turn on State Park Road 64 (I think). Our Garmen said we had arrived at the park but the entrance was a f...  more »

  • Love this place. Park Rangers are all super friendly & helpful. Park does need a little maintenance....park benches through out park are unreachable (over growth). The benches are all placed in beautiful places over looking the water, would of been nice to have actually sat on them.
  • This is another one of the great Texas state parks near a lake that is often overlooked. We stayed here one night on our way to the Houston area. They have RV camping tent camping picnic sites hiking trails bike trails restroom and shower facilities. If you're going on a summer weekend or holiday be sure to reserve online.
  • Fairfield Lake S.P. is an extraordinary Texas treasure, nestled in the woods surrounding Fairfield Lake six (6) miles from the highway. Peace and tranquility abound. An excellent place to rest, relax and regenerate!
  • This was our second trip to Fairfield SP - the lot #87 was nice and big although our trailer was in the sun most of the day. There was however a nice shady area down below closer to the lake. We were right across the street from the restrooms, which was nice since we had company visiting. We were disappointed that the hiking trails were closed due to overgrown conditions. The whole park looked liked it needed a good mowing/trimming. The lake too has overgrown with reeds. It would be so nice to be able to have a good view of the lake, but there was to many bushes and brush everywhere. Supposedly a Boy Scout group is coming in November to help out with the grooming of the park. We really like this park and hope that this is not a problem come next year, otherwise we will have to reconsider revisiting.
  • Camping area: too much growth between the lakeside campsites and the water - can't see the lake. No 50 amp or sewer sites here. Day Use Area: not kept clean, guidelines not followed, or enforced, vehicles parking on the grass, users building fires.
