Emma Lewis was an amazing guide with a huge passion and knowledge of mushing. She and her dogs allowed us to grasp the true alaskan experience. Highly recommend!

I had a great time at this establishment. I went on a snow mobile excursion. Rod Sr gave my group, and I a crash course in how to operate a snow buggy. They allow you to ride around a snow track that they have on site to get familiar with the controls of the snow mobile. Once you feel confident and Rod Sr thinks that you can hang, you go out onto a trek through the Alaskan wilderness. The guide that led my group and I was Rod Jr., and he was a kool kid who knew what he was doing. We even came across a large moose on the trail, and watched it graze on the trail. I would recommend this experience to anyone who visits Alaska looking for a fun experience.
My husband and I did a 2-hour snow machine tour with Josh and we loved it. Everything was so pretty, and Josh was an amazing tour guide and teacher, when showing us how to operate the machines. We got to see amazing sights on our tour thanks to him. He was super kind and attentive for the whole 2 hours, it was my favorite activity at Rod's. We also did a 30-minute dog sledding, which was really fun as well! They provided the gear we needed to do these activities and everyone there was beyond nice to us, specially the ladies at the front desk. We also did ice fishing in the heated cabins during the night. Unfortunately, we were not able to see the lights due to the weather. However, our guide Cody was amazing, he was funny, made us hot cocoa, reindeer hot dogs, fried the fish, and was super attentive to our needs. I had never ice fished before and I had a blast. This experience was worth every penny! I definitely recommend Rod's guide services all the way! It made my husband's and I experience in Alaska great and one of the best trips we have had so far!
Must-do experience! Rodney was a great guide for us in Snowmobiling. He made it super easy to learn how to ride it and ensured no one in the group was left out. Views were amazing and got to enjoy great quality snow. Helmets and handles were warmed up. They provided all necessary gear (snow pants, boots, gloves) which made it easy too. Dog sledding was another experience!! Cute dogs who are just excited to run out in the field. Learned a lot about the dogs, the races and enjoyed petting them too :)
Jimmy was our guide and he was amazing! He was so friendly and had great insights about Alaskan culture and dog mushing. You can tell he loves his dogs and they were so fun to meet! All the dogs are well taken care of and loved. They had snow coats, gloves and boots there for extra warmth. Every one was very friendly. 10/10 experience!
Ice fishing was fun and comfortable here. Clarence was our guide and he's really professional and helpful. He's a great chef too, those fish are the most delicious ones I ever had! Snow mobile and dog sledging are unique and fun experiences as well, thank you Rod and the family for making this happen!
