Where to stay in Fairbanks

Downtown Fairbanks holds the highest concentration of accommodations, and here you'll find everything from hotels for business travelers to cozy bed and breakfasts. The area just across the Chena River from downtown features a few establishments that serve as convenient alternatives should you be unable to secure a place to stay downtown. The areas around the airport and the University of Alaska feature numerous accommodations, including bed and breakfasts and small inns in addition to hotels for business travelers. Just outside of town you'll find lodges, cottages, and additional bed and breakfasts that feature quieter settings closer to the mountains.

  • Pioneer Park (Locals know it as Alaska Land) is worth the stop (plan a couple hours). Free parking and admission to the park (RV's are welcome). Most attractions/museums are also free. The Aviation Mu...  more »
