  • My wife wanted to see Musk Ox and Caribou so this visit saved a trip to the Arctic Circle. The animals were viewable in their large outdoor enclosures. We also used our binoculars. We noticed a lot of...  more »
  • We visited the station on a Tuesday. Unfortunately, the establishment is closed but Monday and Tuesday. Through the fence, we have seen but a few musk ox. The facility but left the impression that visitors are more secondary.

  • Cool place, I probably never would have had the chance to see a live musk ox in my life if it weren't for this place. They sell the musk-ox wool and garments made from the wool. They also gave education speeches about reindeer and caribou and the genetic variants.
  • You pay $10 a person to look at two pens, which may or may not have musk ox and reindeer close enough to see. You won't get to see the other fields with animals in them. Plus they're only open for 3 months of the year, and then only Wednesday through Sunday. It's basically just a place to rip off tourists. Save your money and go see the reindeer at the Santa Claus House FOR FREE. Or if you're down south in Anchorage visit the Musk Ox farm in Palmer, which will give you a better value.
  • Closed for the season, reopen in June
