  • After visiting the Museum of the North (you must see) I wanted to peruse some real native art to find something to take home. Well Eureka!! My first stop I hit gold. The gallery was a bit difficult to get to because of road construction but well worth the effort. Inside I found a nice collection of almost everything one might be interested in - carved ivory, paintings, carved wood, prints, etc... The staff was helpful & informed without being pushy or hovering. I got a couple of small gifts & then some beautiful wood carvings of some loons for my home.
