  • Provided: this is certainly a beautiful Boardwalk by a particular ecosystem. The first hundred meters were also nice, not much nicer than the other boardwalks that we have seen in the Everglades, but still. Nevertheless, we have, after a short walk here, even other tourists accosted in the parking lot and not recommended to go here. Why? Well, we are here just about attacked by mosquitoes. Never in my life have I raced for the mosquitoes, but here was after all in 1 minute walking quickly in the first mature piece of flights the only option. My girlfriend is in that minute stabbed more than 50 times, myself 15 times. Please note: we had happen to us a few minutes earlier on the parking lot still very extensive with anti-mosquito spray injected. My advice: go go here only if you have a long pants, long sleeves and face protection. If not, just take another boardwalk in the Everglades, because although you in this climate, of course, always afraid of insects, we had since we had this problem.

  • Lots to learn about mangroves, very insightful. The lake is peaceful and serene. There are bathrooms here, a picnic area for large groups, and a boat dock. Very nice.
