  • Love the atmosphere! Lots to look at! Great burgers! My family liked the beer choices, too! A place our family, who lives in Evansville, visits often. I would, too, were I to live near here.
  • Was looking forward to my first trip to Tin Man and it wasn't up to par. First off the service was a little to be desired. Slow and not very friendly. There were 4 of us and slim crowd, maybe less tha...  read more »
  • Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a snack while passing through. Great selection if their beer plus other local brews. Great atmosphere. Pretzels were salty yet a little sweet.
  • I felt tingly all over my body as the chilled liquid evacuated the glass and occupied my being. Soon after the majestic and savory battered and grease dunked tomatoes arrived and were consumed with great satisfaction as biker gangs rolled past by the bucket load. As we continued our second dinner we began talking of vans, warehouses and moving to Cleveland. Needless to say that Tin Man Brew and Chew sure can hit the spot deep in your soul when you have that late evening desire for fried veggies and malted hops.
  • Pros: The place is beautiful. The layout is great and the decor is really unique and inviting. Maybe a tad bit of a hipster feel but I'm cool with that. Also, great selection of beers. I actually don't like most of them but all I need is a few good ones to make me happy, no matter where I go. Cons: The food is horrible. It was all cooked properly but the burgers have no flavor. I had jalapenos, bacon and hot sauce on mine. All I tasted were the toppings and the grease. The fries were decently OK. The 3 appetizers we ordered were all lacking in flavor as well although the presentation was nice. The service was also lacking. The waitress seemed overwhelmed at most times although there wasn't an abundance of customers. I wouldn't change anything about the beer or the restaurant. Those are the top performers here. I would however change the kitchen. Either it's the cooks or the food being used. Something needs to change back there. Lastly, I think better training for the waitresses. Either hire one more or get ones that can handle stressful situations better. Stress gets to everyone...but the good ones don't let it show!
  • Wanted to love this place and there were definitely perks - fun atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably fast service. They also have a gluten free menu, which is super important to me. The food was inconsistent on our visit, although friends dining with us said it was usually better. Had the Deviled eggs, which weren't anything great. The shrimp and grits were unusual, but the best thing I had, although the shrimp was way spicier than I would have liked. Same with the Cole slaw...spicy, which was odd. I wouldn't NOT go back, but wouldn't be my first choice either.
  • Can I give zero stars?? This has been the absolute worst meal I've been served in the entire Evansville area. The service was equally bad. I, and my uncle, dined there yesterday. Absolutely disgusting. I opted for the "Sunday brunch special". It was advertised as "sausage, bacon, french toast, roasted tomatoes with basil pesto, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and maple syrup". The potatoes were edible. period. The bacon, I ordered crispy, was burnt, completely black. The french toast, was overcooked on one side, and raw on the other, but still served cold, and soggy. The tomatoes were not roasted, at all. They tasted like they were poured out of a can, without any pesto ( none, at all, and I do know the difference between roasted and canned). The scrambled eggs were so overcooked, and chopped into crumbs, like little brown bits from a shredded pencil eraser, with a flavor to match, I don't know how any self-respecting cook could possible try to pass them off as acceptable. I'm no chef , but they were just gross. The potatoes, were the only edible thing on my entire plate. They weren't great, but I did eat some of them. When I pointed out how bad it was to my server, she said "sorry you didn't like it", took the plate away, and proceeded to put the check on the table with a very nasty "Have a nice day". We paid the bill just so we could leave. They got out $22 , for not even one bite of good food. I'll never go back. I strongly recommend this place is to be avoided. I think the server's name was Mackenzie, or something like that. Horrible food and service. Zero stars. I never did see a manager. Totally ripped off, and I will never return.
  • The beers I've had here are really good...but not great. (Plus they don't have the one I really liked anymore). The food is also really good but can't say it's great. The staff have all been very friendly and open to good conversation.
