Thorncrown Chapel, Eureka Springs

4.7
A seemingly open-air chapel in the midst of a forest, Thorncrown Chapel is actually made of organic materials yet glass-enclosed and air-conditioned. The chapel is considered to be a significant influence in the field of architecture. The structure was designed so that each ray of light and change of weather makes the building appear different at every moment. Voluntary donations are accepted. • Never have I seen a structure like this, not far to walk to and make sure you bring your camera to get the full effect. The hours vary, sometimes it is closed for weddings. Enjoy this amazing place.  more »
  • It's almost hard to explain as you walk through the woods to this "tall as the trees" piece of art. Take time to go in and sit for a quiet minute. Its like the beams and glass are part of the woods. I...  more »
  • Stunning Chapel. Wonderful setting. Was not crowded. It is a short easy walk from the large parking lot.  more »

  • I don’t know much about the Thorncrown Chapel, but the things I do know are all great. First of all the scenery.. The views are just amazing! It is located around what seems to be a beautiful forest. The people that live around the area are nice and friendly. My parents were married here, which is why I’ve visited before. I’d definitely suggest taking the Thorncrown Chapel into consideration for a place to have your wedding.
  • Thorncrown Chapel is an absolutely amazing prairie-style church, nestled into the Arkansas Ozarks. The views are absolutely amazing, with the trees nestled around the chapel's glass walls. Parking is easy and access is down a quick path. I recommend taking the time to visit Thorncrown.
  • Even on a cold, rainy Easter it is an amazing place. Despite its fantastic architectures it is merely a dim reflection of all that is held for us beyond heaven's gates.
  • Beautiful. Sad that our guide didn't really know the history. Thankful for the internet for answers.
  • My husband and I just got married at Thorncrown Chapel. We absolutely loved our experience there. You do not need to decorate the chapel because it is so stunning already. If you are looking for a beautiful, unique, inexpensive wedding experience this is the place! Its rich history adds even more to the experience. One thing to note: when booking your wedding at Thorncrown, you book a two hour slot. We booked 4:30-6:30 and had our ceremony at 5. Just note that they are VERY strict on this rule and will not be the kindest if you show up early.
