  • I went here because I found a hiking meetup group in Eugene while there on business. We met at the parking lot/trail head and walked up a breath-taking trail. I'm from Utah and so the tall green trees...  more »

  • Beautiful park. So grateful that the city helps keep parks like this around.
  • The "difficult" trail is definitely challenging. A very enjoyable hike that will make you work. The view is great from the top and there is plenty of room to find a place to enjoy it, even when it's busy. The easy trail is equally enjoyable and mostly shady and beautiful. Very well maintained.
  • Really great hike. The view is fantastic, and the incline isn't that bad. They've added stairs towards the end, so that makes things a little easier.
  • A nice short hike...some areas were steep and doable Amazing view of the Willamette Valley..Lots of people with their dogs.
  • Great for families and kids, a little tough if your new to hiking (or if you've had back or joint issues). But certainly manageable for little ones, and a casual walker. The views are great on clear days, and the park at the foot of the butte has plenty to offer the little ones.
