  • The best part about this place was the view overlooking the valley and the food. I was hoping for the wines to be better, but that was just my personal preference.  more »
  • Our friends took us to one of their favorite spots for a wine just minutes from their home. We were amazed that this clear mountain view could be so close and so different than on their golf course lo...  more »
  • This beautiful winery fills up quickly, so go early. They make a small variety of pizzas. Get a salad with a secret dressing, a bottle of wine, sit back and enjoy the view. It's worth a trip down High...  more »

  • This is not what I thought of when I was told that there is "some really cool parts of Escondido." That's all my friend said at the time. Then one day at work I was dispatched to Highland Valley Road and areas I was unfamiliar with. I was in awe of the views on top of the mountains and equally impressed (If not more impressed) with how the people out here live and what they have going on. The land, the homes and how everything is built with efficiency and practicality. The vineyards are used to relax and enjoy each other's company. The wine tastings are fun and relaxed, overall a great time. The individuals who operate these have struck gold and they must know it too because they employ great, cheerful and friendly attitudes. I think this is the real Escondido; the hidden valley. With mountains of scenery, peace, serenity and wine from the acres of grape vines that are sprawled out in plain view. The perfect getaway from where ever you call home. All visitors mind your manners and be courteous, please. And thank you
  • The day immediately after thanks giving warranted a drive out and we selected this venue for its pizza and wine, for lunch. In our travels we bumped into other friends so we became 6 for lunch. The Trinity award winning wines was reasonable and the pizza's were rather good. The hilltop views and scenery are wonderful and no wonder people use this as a great place to host special events.
  • Absolutely amazing pizza and delicious wines! Great value for what you're getting.
  • Cordiano winery is located in eastern Escondido on a hilltop with expansive views of the Escondido Valley. It's a great place to bring a date on a Summer (October is still Summer in Escondido) evening to eat pizza, drink decent wine and take in the sunset. The winery is family run and for me the entire experience is the warmth of the family and beautiful views. I can sit here for hours. The winery is a short distance from the San Diego Safari Park. Spend the day there and end your perfect day at Cordiano.
  • Amazing and gorgeous Winery with well tended vineyards. Beautiful photo opportunities. Loved the experience and made several new friends. Thanks Cordiano!!!
