(4.9/5 based on 20+ reviews on the web)
UPMC Park, formerly known as Jerry Uht Park, is a baseball park located in Erie, Pennsylvania. It is the home of the Erie SeaWolves, the city's Minor League Baseball (MiLB) franchise. It hosted its first regular season game on June 20, 1995, with the SeaWolves defeating the Jamestown Jammers following José Guillén's decisive home-run. The park replaced Ainsworth Field, which was built in 1947, and features natural grass and dirt playing field. The concessions include regional specialties such as pepperoni balls, ox roast sandwiches, cheesesteaks, and Yuengling beer. It is part of the Louis J. Tullio Plaza, which also comprises Erie Insurance Arena and the Warner Theatre, all governed by the Erie County Convention Center Authority. The stadium's capacity is 6,000 seats. After the 2016 season, the SeaWolves partnered with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in a naming rights agreement to rebrand the stadium UPMC Park.In a 2008, the ESPN sports broadcast company ranked the ballpark number five out of ten Minor League ballpark seating arrangements. They especially noted its unique mezzanine level that overlooks the infield along the first-base side. In July 2015, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) also ranked the stadium number five among the most vegetarian-friendly Minor League ballparks.

  • We love Erie baseball but ticket prices do not allow for large families to attend very often. Disappointing that beer is cheaper than hotdogs and pop!

  • Family friendly atmosphere with a promotion nearly every game. The GM and President are constantly making improvements to enhance fan experience. Players are usually pretty cool about autographs before the games. Never know which Major Leaguer you're watching, which makes it exciting. These guys get called up all the time.
  • Large well maintained baseball stadium. Plenty of concession stands for different food drink and snacks, as well as rest rooms located in multiple locations. The grass on the field was well manicured and plenty of information available on the jumbo screens. Lastly there was plenty of mini entertainment going on in between inning switches and the entertainers engaged with the fans at numerous locations either with scripted events such as dancing, props, crowd participated events, to races and mini games for the kids. Very entertaining experience.
  • Don't swear in the bleachers! This is a great place to catch minor league baseball. Staff is all around, tickets are cheap. Bring your mitt!
  • Always a great time....inexpensive tickets and good variety of food options! Fun for all!
  • Great night out - Jerry Uht and the Erie Seawolves help make Erie a nicer place to live and visit. Heading out to a game makes for a cool way to spend time with your family, or a good method to let your little leaguers see how the grownups play.
