  • The monument is a neat sight to see, but the breathtaking views of the Columbia River are what makes this stop especially worthwhile. Official stop off the highway is only when heading eastbound.  more »
  • I prefer the stop on the Westbound side of the highway, where you can look out over the Columbia river. It's worth a stop when you're driving by.  more »
  • I have stopped here several times because it's a great place to get out, walk around, get some air and take in the view. Great place for photos because the weather and light seem to enhance the Monume...  more »

  • Breathtaking views. Experience the Awesome power of the Columbia river. Stopped by on a windy day and felt like I was gonna get sucked in the gorge. Absolutely awesome sight and a must see if your in the area. Quick and easy access right off the 90. STOP BY!!
  • Great stop to let the kids get some energy release hiking up to see the horses up close .. wish they had an improved switchback pathway as well, for disabled access or simply non-hiking shoes. ;) And someday a vandalism-proof set of informative plaques will be invented so we can learn more without needing to search the Internet.
  • A little detour from the highway. But , great view of the river, canyons and sky 😊
  • I love The Rustic feel and the Vantage points for photographers to take great pictures. But unfortunately vandalism has rendered the horses very unapleasing to the eyes. I would hope for them to get scrubbed.
  • I had driven by, so many times. Finally stop in 2014 and made the hike. It was worth every step. At the time, I didn't know it would be my last hike. I was a little bit hurt because of the graffiti that was sprayed on them but at distance, you can't see it, so, it's not that bad. I can not walk it no more, but as I drive by (both ways), I can still remember that hike, every pain taken step, and it was worth every step.
