  • Go horseback riding here. It's the absolute best way to take in the stunning sights and sounds of nature in southwest Florida.
  • My wife and I had our wedding there, it was so beautiful. The tours are informative and entertaining. Also the hiking trails are so much fun with lots of Florida wildlife to see including deer and gators!
  • Hiking, biking, horseback riding and camping is what you'll find at Myakka State Forest. Often confused with Myakka State Park. Camping will begin again in the fall of 2016 with 20 campsites with electrical hookups.
  • Awesome, wild and huge forest. So many leisure activities on here. Camping and Lakes. Some long distance trails. Enjoy a nice kayak tour. Wildlife is all around. So be aware of some massive alligators on the area that wander around out of water. Often these reptiles take a nap only a few steps from you while walking.
  • Camped here for a few days and loved it! Lots of armadillos, saw some boars. Not many others were here which made it quite peaceful, but still a fairly easy drive to the Venice beach area.
