Situated high above the Pacific Ocean, Self-Realization Fellowship Hermitage provides the perfect setting for reflection and contemplation. Run by the Self Realization Fellowship (SRF), a non-profit religious organization, the internationally renowned gardens lend themselves to meditation, study, or prayer. Meander around the beautifully maintained gardens, admire the koi ponds, or simply sit and gaze at the ocean view. After enjoying some serenity, you can head towards the Encinitas Hermitage, where SRF founder and creator Paramahansa Yogananda spent much time. • The hermitage is where Paramahansa Yogananda wrote the world classic - Autobiography of a Yogi. The inspiring environment with its breathtaking view is a fitting altar to invite the Divine presence.
  • Just when you are happy to sit alone and ponder the Pacific, you are pulled away to the SRF Hermitage. And, there, sitting again, the pieces that were unanswered from past sit downs with yourself in real and dreamed if places become whole. You are in The Garden of Eden. No snakes, no apple trees, no human that you see. There are some places on the planet where you talk to yourself lovingly, selecting a channel of insight that raises your head and face to your own realization of being the best you can be. Here, is where you start the journey that creates the immortal soul, that is you.
  • Very unique relaxation place. Exotic flowers and trees. Ocean View. Pool with exotic fish.
  • Magical Gardens and Epic Meditation spot on the cliffs, over the ocean, koi ponds, beautiful landscaping and super peaceful!
  • Great place to check out great views and this Botanical Garden
