  • I love this place. My favorite part is the whole Bamboo Garden area, with far more species of bamboo than you could guess existed, especially the giant bamboo. This year there was some sea fog when we...  read more »
  • Great for a quiet walk among the desert flowers, cacti and citrus trees. There is a platform for viewing the ocean. I believe it is available for private events. It looked like a wedding or renewal of...  read more »
  • My wife and I visit at least once a year. It's just a short drive north of San Diego and they have a wonderful plant collection. There are plenty of trails to walk along, and all of them are themed (m...  read more »
  • Beautiful venue but could not believe the way the manager acted at a wedding. Watched him physically assault a band member (they may press charges!) yelling at him ! He was very disrespectful to the wedding party and their families. From a money standpoint keeping that clown on the staff is business suicide. Disgusting behavior and again, could not believe the way this individual spoke to the bride. Maybe would go back to visit the grounds if that guy is fired but will NEVER recommend this place to hold a wedding. For the amount spent, show some professionalism!
  • Beautiful botanical garden. Loved the bamboo! Great view of the ocean, would be awesome at sunset. They have spaces for private parties, nice for a garden wedding. It's doable with a wheelchair but need two people to push and some sturdy nonslip shoes if you are on the dirt paths.
  • The largest and most beautiful collection of exotic plants I have ever seen. I really enjoyed taking my camera and taking beautiful pictures of nature here. Everyone should check it out at least once
  • Awesome garden, my kids love it here. They also throw great events here throughout the year.
  • San Diego Botanic Garden is in Encinitas. Getting there is easy. The place is fantastic. Everywhere you looked, there was something to see. You could spend a full day there. We went to see the Sapphire Tower, it was blooming for the first time in two years. We were not disappointed. Like all of San Diego it is hilly and sometimes you are walking on dirt trails so wear your walking/hiking shoes.
