(4.7/5 based on 1,700+ reviews on the web)
Knoebels Amusement Resort has been family-owned and operated by the Knoebels family since 1926. The park is located in a wooded valley, which also encompasses a picnic grove and campground, and features over 60 roller coasters and an antique carousal from 1913. It has received a number of honors, including multiple Amusement Today Golden Ticket awards for best amusement park food. • My family has been coming here since my Grandad was a teenager. It's always our go to theme park. Knoebels is located in the mountains with trees surrounding the entire park. Dogs are welcome. Although the food here is great for an amusement park and reasonably priced, they have several pavilions for patrons use and are welcome to bring your own food. The swimming pool it's huge and usually chilly but great on a summer day. They have two campgrounds for tents, RVs, and of your lucky you may be able to rent a cabin, well in advance. The second campground is just down the road from the park but a shuttle is provided free of charge. While Knoebels still uses ticket books for their rides some days they offer hand stamps, check the website before you go. The haunted house, the Phoenix, and carousel are not to be missed. Get the brass ring and ride free on the carousel, in my family it's always my son!
  • There is no admission fee to get into the park! You pay per ride, so it is great if you want to go and not do a lot of rides. It's great for kids and adults, alike! The location is beautiful, and there are some great views from some of the rides. They have lots of picnic areas and pavilions if you want to bring your lunch or get one catered. The catered meals are pretty good. The park can get pretty busy in the peak of the summer on weekends, so try to go during the week!
  • Love this place. Free to just walk around the park. Food is awesome and prices are great. Rides take tickets but they do have an all day hand pass. Recommend to just do the tickets unless plan on doing all the roller coasters more than once. For me my wife and child we barely go through 2 books in two trips
  • Always a great place to go!!! Rides are fun, the park is clean and perfect for summer days. I love that parking and admission is free. You can't get better than that!! Great for camping and getting the family together! Also can hold parties here for kids or adults!! Perfect for any age!
  • Pros: Best amusement park within hours; low cost; great atmosphere; friendly staff; reasonable prices Cons: Distant from major cities or highways (expect some back-road travel). No admission cost, free reservation cost for a pavilion and free parking. It's hard to beat this, though you do have to buy tickets to get on the rides. This is good family entertainment though it's mostly aimed at younger kids. For Halloween, expect things to ramp up around dusk. This isn't a park at the same caliber as Disney, but it has a ton of stuff to offer. There are games, rides, restaurants and shows.
