Knoebels Amusement Resort has been family-owned and operated by the Knoebels family since 1926. The park is located in a wooded valley, which also encompasses a picnic grove and campground, and features over 60 roller coasters and an antique carousal from 1913. It has received a number of honors, including multiple Amusement Today Golden Ticket awards for best amusement park food. While the park is well known for its wooden roller coasters, it is perhaps most famous for its haunted house ride, Haunted Mansion, which was featured on Discovery Channel. Knoebels Amusement Resort Reviews
Pennsylvania's hidden gem! The park was clean! There was no charge to walk in the park! You could bring your own food. Had great rides, shops, and entertainment! Lots of shade. more »
These are a few of my favorite things: Phoenix, second seat, you will fly!, haunted house for kitchiness, antique cars especially at Halloween, carousel with a real brass ring, dodgem cars, mini golf,... more »
I grew up going toKnoebels Grove (the K is not silent). It had been so fun watching the park grow and expand, without losing too much of its old time charm. To me, the best part is that you only have ... more »
There is nothing about this place I can say that hasn't already been said. But it's definitely worth repeating. This is one of the best amusement parks I have ever been to. It's free to park. You can get a ride all day pass for reasonable price or buy tickets ride to ride. The food is absolutely amazing and priced fairly AKA no $20 combo meal that's literally just frozen chicken fingers or overpriced water and soda. Plus it's so shady and beautiful. Definitely the park to go to
Knoebels is a place that I have loved since I was a young child and I love taking my child and sharing such a wonderful place with him. It's great that there are no admission or parking fees. Because if that and the reasonable prices for the food and rides, I can take my family more than one a year. They also have great free entertainment in many areas of the park. Some of the entertainment involves audience participation with the children and parents which makes for some great memories. The park is set in a nice rural area with great views. Even on sunny days there is plenty of relief from the sun in the shade of the many trees throughout the park. They have two train rides, one that goes around the edge of the park and another that goes through the woods. They are both great, but often the one that goes through the woods includes wildlife sightings such as squirrels and deer. Closer to Halloween the park has a fun haunted theme that we enjoy every year. This park is very unique and makes for a great alternative to the other much more expensive park options.
One of the best theme parks ever! Its free for admission. There are plenty of rides and they are fairly priced. Food is everywhere, good, and inexpensive. You can also bring your own cooler. Parking is free and there are shuttles from the lot to the entrance. The boats and trains are a must do! I grew up coming here and my kids are as well.
Great time for the family. It is completely affordable food, rides, and games all good prices. You only pay for the rides you ride using tickets which makes it very practical. No admission cost and there are pavilions you can use for lunch if you want to bring your own. They have a great variety of rides for all ages. Love the merry go round where you grab rings and toss them into the lions mouth.
Beautiful and affordable amusement park ensconced in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania. Parking is FREE Admission is FREE, if you choose to simply stroll through the park (with your pet, if you wish, as dogs are welcome too); riders can purchase a bracelet or tickets. Concessions are very reasonable. The park is a gem, and is home to one of my all-time favorite rides: the wooden coaster PHOENIX. Don't forget to stop by for some delicious ice cream before leaving the park.
