  • The restaurant smells good the moment you walk in. The hostess was courteous and accommodating. The tomato basil soup and grilled cheese is excellent.
  • Though we made just a lunchtime trip of it, we joined a tour group on first arriving and then gave in to lure of food and a/c. We were delighted at service of Abby and others, appreciated our conversation with the multi-faceted owner/developer of Sandy Oaks, ordered the fruit/cheese/olive plate to share between two of us and then felt hungry enough only for the onion soup which was excellent. We will be back with friends. Tom and Claudia Robison Update, Aug 15/15 a month or so after first visit: Again enjoyed our time in shop and restaurant, bringing friends as promised. Only wanted the sampler this time, perfect for chatting with friends and taking our time. Two baskets of crostini were too hard to chew, something having to do with preparation Abby said. House bread instead was great with cheese and olive preparations. One little confusion: upon crossing the highway from San Antonio, there is a right turn that is not obvious in the map. Thanks for another time of welcome by owner and staff.
  • The gift shop had lots of food items, skin care and more. The food was very good, staff was friendly, everything was very clean and cutely decorated. Had a nice place to eat outdoors as well. Will return with the kids next time!
  • I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! GREAT LITTLE HIDEAWAY! THE SANGRIA IS WONDERFUL I WISH THEY CARRIED IT YEAR ROUND
  • Beautiful olive orchard, completely sustainable - even the mash from pressed oil is fed to the cattle. Olives, an amazing shop with olive soaps, olive oil and olive tea! And an amazing farm-to-table bistro. And periodic Passport dinners ... tomorrow night June 19 we are going for the Argentine dinner. Worth your time!
