  • Plenty of great picnic shelter areas. Ample parking. Hiking trails are well maintained and a nice walk for even a child, but enjoyable by adults. Pool area is very well maintained and fun with reasonable rates. We have not camped here, but the facilities look pleasant.
  • After setting up and paying for the camp site, my two children and I decided to drive to the other side of the park to go geocaching. Although we've been to this park before, I do not have it memorized. I pulled to the side of the road to look at the map momentarily. I saw a sign ahead at an intersection, so I turned onto the street in front of it so I could read it and figure out which way we needed to go. As soon as I stopped, a dark blue SUV pulled up behind me and stopped. I pulled ahead a few feet and into the grass to allow the SUV to pass. The SUV stayed where it was, and an older (60ish) gentleman got out of the drivers seat and approached my car. I thought it must be an out of towner seeking a local to ask a question. I rolled my window down, and as the man approached he pulled out his wallet to show me his badge. He informed me he was an OFF DUTY park ranger. He wanted to let me know it was against the rules to park on the grass. I explained what I was doing. Instead of offering me assistance/guidance, he told me, in a threatening and aggressive manner, there were signs all over the place saying parking on the grass was not allowed. I reminded him he was off duty and thanked him.
  • Park was clean wasn't harassed by park rangers.... there's a pool in the park very nice.i was in the ancahis lol it's a big word...but anyways they have electric and water big campers can ease through it just be careful of trees....for 21.00 a night...but they do need MAJOR REMOLDING done to there bathroom shower house....very poor condition... would definitely stay again just different part of park
  • Love camping here. Bald Eagle campground has full hook ups and is totally paved. Park is clean and neat. Swimming pool, playgrounds, hiking biking, horseback trails, fishing. Lots of wildlife.
  • This place has gone downhill. The rules are rigid and ridiculous. Make sure you keep receipts if you don't purchase your fire wood in the park, no skateboards, no laundry lines, can't pay for your tent site til your tent is up, my family is camping and they found a spot where we could all spread out, there were three fire places, so it looks like you could have 3 tent sites. They would only allow 1 tent per site. We have 8 children and 2 tents, but that isn't allowed. So we decided to rent the over priced Pine Grove cabin. so we could be close to family. We were told very rudely that you have to give 2 days notice to rent the cabin. We haven't even set up camp there and now, we never will. I have never heard of a place not wanting to take your money.
