Southwest University Park Reviews

This is a brand new facility and really nice. This is the El Paso Chihuahua home and they are actually really good. The food is really good and unique to El Paso and chihuahuas. Went upstairs to a sky... more »

Had a great time twice this year at the games and the Chihuahuas won both. The Park is beautiful and well designed. Food and drinks were good. Ushers and souvenir shop clerks were very friendly and he... more »

I have been here before, but this time we got to sit in the suite seats. This is right behind the home plate. I love the waitress service so I never had to leave and miss the action. No matter what se... more »

Go Chihuahuas! Almost the whole venue is great. Wish the seats swiveled somehow. The Westar bar could be setup better. The food got better over last year.

Such a fun time. The tickets are not a bad price. The food and drinks are where they get you though. The purple that work the games are so great. I was very impressed with the young purple working the splash pad and playground area. It was so hot, and their jobs look so mundane, but they kept great attitudes all night and were great with the kids. There are even 2 who are tasked with drying off the playground equipment every time a wet kid climbed up, and making sure no one slipped.

Lovely stadium and friendly staff. Of course concessions are pricey like every other sporting event, movie, concert, etc., that's expected. Green seats could use a trash can so there's less litter, you have to walk a good bit to find one. Fireworks show was amazing tonight for fourth of July week. I also appreciate the inclusion of single stall restrooms! Grass (green seats) was really comfy maybe bring a blanket though and bring something to use as a cup holder on the inclined surface.

I usually love attending the games. This year alone I've gone at least 8 times. I rated my experience a 5 star before. However, This last time I went was for a ceremony & there was food served in the Santa Fe Pavilion with the game to follow. Our job provided us with our first two tickets free & I purchased 2 extra because I wanted my family, that were visiting from Colorado, to experience it. It was a very poor experience. We had to RSVP way ahead of time so I thought they'd be more prepared. First of all there wasn't enough tables & chairs for even just half the people there on both floors. The sun was beating down on the regular seats & even with that not many of those seats were available either. The ice provided for drinks were served out of cracked plastic buckets & the chips were mostly crumbs with about 2 or 3 whole chips. Coleslaw was also a side but it was warm..?.. I honestly couldn't believe it. I was looking forward to this for months because I had not been in this pavilion yet but honestly, it just fell short. Most of the people left an hour into the game. I really hope there's improvement.

We love to catch a game from time to time. Nice stadium, on a cooler day it's great to be out in the park. The amount of tickets that are either reserved or corporate-owned though is ridiculous; we've tried a few times to walk up game day and get seats only to be told they're sold out. However, every game we go to there are always tons of empty seats. Hand em over guys!!
