  • We made a very long and unbelievably monotonous drive from Medora ND to Devils Tower. I read about this park on this site as being on the way and was so glad I did. We had the entire park to ourselves...  more »
  • Not just my review but the others as well. You do not leave a bad review for a place because you didn't educate yourself before you went and...Oh, my! Snakes? No sinks/showers? Remote? Oof. This is an...  more »
  • We were travelling south on Highway 7, going from Dickinson to Devil's Tower, and were enjoying the antelope and mule deer along the eastern side of Montana. All of a sudden, this state park became a ...  more »
  • This state park has a lot of history to it. The rock formations are very interesting. HOWEVER, the majority of the rocks have been defaced by graffiti. There are hundreds of names craved into the rocks. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth seeing. The trails are easy and short. They look great from a distance. For those of you who left your marks, shame on you!
  • An enchanted place, an oasis in the sea of prairie grasses! I always wanted to see this place and finally did! Didn't disappoint! However it is most unfortunate that louts are carving and putting graffiti all over the rocks. Yes, I know the natives and settlers did also, but surely we don't have to add to the eroding of the rocks? Anyways, nice, quiet, calming and peaceful to walk among these rocks and wonder who was here 100 or 200 years ago in the same spot you are standing on?! Drive slowly, stop often and walk around. Bring a lunch and eat in the shade.
  • This is a beautiful park with sand stone formations.
  • The history that can be seen here, geological and human, is almost overwhelming. I'll be stopping here every time I'm through the area.
  • This park was along the route I was on. I enjoyed driving around and seeing the large sandstone rock formations.
