  • A nice neat place to visit if you are passing through the area and have about 30-60 minutes to spare. My original motive was to stop and buy a bunch of kazoos for all of the children to enjoy during our latest family get together. While this was a successful endeavor, I was pleasantly surprised at the boutique located in the front of the building and the kazoo shop and museum located in the rear. We found many different types of novelty kazoos in addition to several color choices of standard kazoos. The factory still uses the antique hand operated machines during the 17 step production process. You can watch the workers do their part of the process while learning about the history of the factory and the kazoo in general. There is also a small machine that will allow you to make your own metal kazoo if you spend a few dollars to purchase the kit. A nice little gem that is worth checking out if you are into quirky little pieces of American industrial history.
