  • What's not to like! Situated in a beautiful setting at the confluence of the Eau Claire and Chippewa Rivers, downtown proximity means easy access from everywhere. Beautiful views of the rivers from numerous benches and natural rock seating areas. Music concerts along the river draw large crowds in the summer, offering fun, food and culture all in one! The park is a popular starting point for tubing down the river past Owen Park, the UW campus and Water Street, with the Hobbs boat landing as a convenient point to exit the river. The Chippewa Valley Bike Trail passes through crossing the converted railroad bridge and on to Carson Park or to Water Street and points west along the Chippewa River. The bridge is the primary crossing over the river and also serves pedestrians accessing the trails along the river and to Carson Park. (The bridge is busy at peak times so bikes need to be prepared to stop for kids and oblivious adults, or even walk their bikes to the other side.) The farmer's market is located on the Madison Street end of the park. It is open Saturday and Wednesday mornings in the summer. Fun place to just grab some coffee, a fresh muffin or pastry, and stroll about people watching.
  • This is a popular spot for a multitude of reasons: farmer's markets in the summer, music in the park, the beach for floating, and now the new lights on the bridge are popular to see. It's one of the more common places for photographers due to its picturesque nature. If you ever happen to find yourself alone here, consider it a rare treat.
  • Relaxing, good fishing, music in the park, farmers market, close to downtown amenities and the ever-so-popular college floating it's very handy if you need to get back down to Water Street and you don't want to walk just hop on a tube and down you go
  • Nice green space. Clean bathrooms and benches. Farmers market pavilion is here as well as a concert space known as the Labyrinth
  • Beautiful park. Love the edition of the lights on the bridge. Nice events as well throughout the year. Farmers markets during the summer and fall, horse and carriage rides in the winter, etc.
