Located in the pristine beauty of Orcas Island in the San Juan Archipelego of Washington State, Orcas Island Pottery creates and sells some of the most original and beautiful pottery in the Northwestern United States. For Orcas Island Pottery and beyond, use our Eastsound travel route planner to get the most from your Eastsound vacation.
Orcas Island Pottery is a favorite destination for visitors to Orcas Island. The oldest pottery in the Pacific Northwest, it is located on West Beach only 3½ miles from Eastsound, in an area of old growth cedars and Douglas fir, on a 100 foot high bluff overlooking President’s Channel.
When you turn off the main road onto the long driveway into the woods, you feel like you are entering a fairyland. As you arrive at the O.I.P. parking lot you will notice a sign for the ‘Foot Path’ that leads you down into the yard. There you will follow the pathways to discover this magical place with its beautiful gardens, fountains and, of course, lovely pottery. It’s a whimsical adventure.

Orcas Island Pottery reviews
Just finding this place in the woods is fun and the grounds itself are totally funky, wares displayed on outdoor tables and a creative treehouse you can climb up to. The quality of the pottery is a... more »
Fun stop. Colorful, quality made pottery with varying degrees of artistic appeal. View of water was a plus. Pricey but we bought some pieces for the memories of Orcas Island. more »
Always fun to come here to see so many different kinds of interesting, pretty pottery arranged in such unusual ways outside -- on picnic tables, benches, potting sheds and more. The grounds are... more »
Such a beautiful hidden gem! Follow a cute road a-ways down, past the hilarious sign that reads "Fear not, you're closer", erm something along those lines, park your car, and walk down this little pathway and you find yourself looking at all the many pots and cups and vases, sitting on tables and in shelters. The creativity doesn't end. Wrap around the back, and you'll find a tree house, where you have a good ocean view.
I knew I was going to Orcas and was excited to get a mug here. I looked at their site plenty of times before. I was there the end of April and found the perfect mug. three months later, there's a small crack, but about 3/4 the way around the bottom. I literally have mugs that are 40 years old, no issues. This one? Not even 3 months. And i only used it a couple of times a week, hand washed only. But things happen, right? It's not that something happens, in my book, it's how it's handled. So I wrote. Wow. I got blasted back. "I'm not there every minute after it leaves to see what happens to it." "somewhere it got banged, they don't crack for no reason." Oh, but wait, "send me a picture of the crack and I'll be able to tell if it's structural." Is it for no reason or structural. Both can't be true. Not that I expect them to say it was structural. I'm sure most of their things are just fine. But don't bother trying to deal with them if something happens. Their customer service is non-existent.
Very beautiful pottery and expansive $$$ love to design wow very attraction beautiful colors. I believe many customers love these... owners and employee are very very very friendly service and RESPECT wow. Beautiful job everything....
very interesting place to visit. They have a fascinating way to display all they art work. Also the garnens around the house are just perfect.
Amazing pottery but far too expensive. It probably makes sense because it is in such a remote corner and all the products are hand made by expert potters. It's a nice place to visit regardless of whether you purchase their products or not.
