Orcas Island Pottery, Eastsound
(4.8/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Located in the pristine beauty of Orcas Island in the San Juan Archipelego of Washington State, Orcas Island Pottery creates and sells some of the most original and beautiful pottery in the Northwestern United States.

Orcas Island Pottery is a favorite destination for visitors to Orcas Island. The oldest pottery in the Pacific Northwest, it is located on West Beach only 3½ miles from Eastsound, in an area of old growth cedars and Douglas fir, on a 100 foot high bluff overlooking President’s Channel.

When you turn off the main road onto the long driveway into the woods, you feel like you are entering a fairyland. As you arrive at the O.I.P. parking lot you will notice a sign for the ‘Foot Path’ that leads you down into the yard. There you will follow the pathways to discover this magical place with its beautiful gardens, fountains and, of course, lovely pottery. It’s a whimsical adventure.

  • Go even if you don't plan to buy (but the prices are so reasonable you may change your mind). The grounds are lovely and the pottery is displayed in delightful ways. This was the highlight of our trip...  more »
  • Great pottery to be found here, but what is more, the entire property is almost like a museum - complete with several sheds and a tree house that all have pottery inside and outside!
  • Definitely worth visiting at least once. The view from the yard is gorgeous. Fun to explore the yard of sculptures and the tree house. We purchased a couple of gifts for loved ones back home.

  • It was interesting to walk through the yard and gardens and look at all the different pottery collections. We did not buy anything, but I enjoyed seeing the handiwork done by the artists and their creativity. We spent about 30 minutes there browsing the pottery. It also has a great view overlooking the water and sunset.
  • Stunning handmade pottery created by local artisans. The prices are fair, the staff a bit snooty, but who cares? Orcas Island Pottery is a true gem.
  • This place is amazing, it's a must see! I've been here numerous times and see something different every time.
  • Great pottery selection, plus swingset and treehouse to occupy the kids.
  • Handmade and showcased in and around the property. Fun display cabin to explore, and a tree house for kids (and adults).
