  • Seals can be seen close to shore..
  • Very nice beach to go to with cold water!
  • Used the America the Beautiful National Park pass for access. Beach parking lot did fill up before 10am on sunny summer weekend. Lighthouse is on private property, but very nice view of it. We came on a cloudy day and really enjoyed walking up to Coast Guard beach and watching the seals. Doesn't smell , no seals on beach. Bathroom is better at the visitor center than at the beach (2-3mi away). Dogs allowed in the areas with no lifeguard outside of piping plover season. Late August was ok.
  • Great picture opt, waves were great to watch
  • This might well be one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been to yet in the cape! Firstly, it was free to enter, which is a lovely surprise! The parking lot is decently sized, though it was quite busy when we arrived in the early evening, and is an easy walk to both the beach and the lighthouse above. There’s a small kiosk where maybe sometimes payment would be collected, but it was empty and everyone seemed to be coming in free, which we did as well. The walk down to the beach could be a little winding, but was well worn and very clearly marked, in addition to (through the use of hardened gravel and mats) being quite disability friendly and accessible. The actual beach was lovely; the waves were perfect for surfing or even just standing in and enjoying. The water was clean and cool and very beautiful. And we were lucky enough to see a family of seals swimming a couple of yards away from the shore! This is my favourite beach in the area, and I strongly recommend stopping by!
