  • I drove past Dyess for years on my way to Memphis before I realized that Johnny Cash grew up there. I stopped by the house years ago, when it was privately owned. I went back after the restoration and was in the first tour group on the first day it was open to the public. It's amazing to see all of the work that they've done and I'm looking forward to going back as more building and exhibits are added.
