  • this was a great place to take grandchildren, or you dog to. they would both love it. it has some great walks.
  • We take our dog here sometimes for a bit of water-fetch (isn't always leashed for this...shhhhh!) There are some intimate pathways that take you further up the river or you can get on a more maintaine...  read more »
  • Some of the best trails and forest excursions in the Triangle. My favorite hike in the fall and winter is the Cox Mountain Trail, meeting up with the Fanny's Ford Trail, for a good 30 minute or more trek up and down a mountain, through beautiful woods, alongside the Eno River, and back to the starting point. In the windy season of winter, a pine tree broke off and crashed down near me, a memorable experience. I see all kinds of wildlife on most hikes off-season. The Park Ranger's office has trail maps and other information available, and the rangers are first-rate hosts.
  • We did the Buckquarter Creek trail and the Eno Trace Trail (for the kidsinparks). We saw lots of turtles in the river and a dam made by a beaver. We also saw twin fawns on the trail. The park is beautiful and we hope to return soon and cover more trails.
  • Be sure to take the Buckquarter Creek trail with the footbridge! This park has plenty to explore and a lot of photo spots. Parking was a bit packed for me but it was a weekend at usual busy times.
  • Eno is an amazing place for a day adventure. If it's your first trip I would highly recommend the Holden Mill Trail or Cox Mountain Trail along the river (few miles round trip). If you're not looking to walk still consider visiting the canoe launch for a place to stop and enjoy nature.
  • Nice trails. Clean and pretty. I like the idea of camping out here some night knowing you aren't far from the car. Saw so many turtles! It was so cool.
