Durham Bulls Athletic Park, Durham

(4.8/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
The clean and modern ballpark,Durham Bulls Athletic Park, is the home of the minor league Durham Bulls, the inspiration for the romantic comedy film, "Bull Durham." The 1988 movie actually predates the 10,000-seat brick park, which was built in 1995. When you take in a game here, look out for the giant bull standing above the Blue Monster--the 9.5 m (32 ft) left-field wall that resembles the Green Monster in Boston's Fenway Park. The organization offers all kinds of promotions to draw fans, so see what's on the schedule for your visit. Make Durham Bulls Athletic Park a part of your Durham vacation plans using our Durham itinerary builder.

  • One of my favorite parts of Durham summers. The people watching, the baseball watching, the laid back friendly atmosphere is the best.  more »
  • Seats were great. Snacks were good. It was Spring Training so we were sitting amongst Scouts. Would definitely go again.  more »
  • The ballpark is a great venue. I enjoy the concessions, gift shop, and of course the games! I am looking forward to the 2017 season!  more »

  • The Durham Bulls Athletic Park is an absolutely fantastic place in Durham. The prices for most games are absolutely fantastic with even the best seats in the house being around $25-$30. The truth is however, there are really no bad seats in the place with even the 'worst' seats in the outfield having a great view and usually being a mere $6 which is less than the price of a movie ticket and offers hours of fun. If you are looking for a great evening out on the town or something fun to do with friends or family, definitely consider going to a Durham Bulls Game.
  • They try to be the Disney of minor league baseball and they knock it out of the park every time. Great everything except for the chairs, which are hard plastic and not comfortable for someone with a back problem. The food is good, especially the nachos found on the third base line. Huge and flavorful, they are the best deal in town.
  • It's an absolutely gorgeous park from the inside out. I've been to several minor league parks in Florida, but I have to say I enjoy this one the best. There is a wide variety of foods and drink to choose from at decent prices (for a ballpark). I managed to get $5 knocked off my food purchase with my ticket that was purchased online, so I'd suggest paying attention to promotions. Being a minor league park, just about every seat in the house is close to the action and sitting about 5 or 6 rows from the visitors dugout cost $21 a ticket. All-in-all it was a great experience and I'll definitely be going back next time I come to town.
  • Great way to spend an evening! Fun for the whole family. We took our 4 month old and even he did great. Great weekend firework show. Yummy food and plenty of fun for the whole family.
  • Just a great ballpark. Perfect for a family outing and kids love it here!! Check out tobacco campus across the street.. The kids can never get enough of the river flowing through the middle. Especially beautiful at night when everything is lit up!!
