With 6 km (4 mi) of white sand beach along the Gulf of Mexico, Honeymoon Island State Park offers a wealth of opportunities for exploring Florida's barrier islands. Rich in biological diversity, the park is home to many rare and threatened Florida organisms like the slash pine, armadillo, and tortoise. As you wander the park's trails through mangrove forests and across tidal flats, keep your eyes out for ospreys and other coastal birds. Be sure to bring your swim trunks to enjoy the clear, warm, shallow waters. You can access the island's treasures via a causeway from the mainland; it provides visitors with a concession stand and gift shop. Beautiful spot and fun place to shell hunt, and snorkel around. The water is calm and warm. Lots of rocks so bring shoes. There's a little Cafe with food and drinks and seats with ocean views while you sit and eat. Nice changing rooms and restrooms. It was very busy on the weekend get there well before 5 to get a good spot. Costs $8 to enter the park.

Absolutely gorgeous beach at the north beach spot!! Natural palms on the beach to rest under and not too crowded on the weekdays we were there. Great place for sunset. I would avoid on a holiday. One lane in and one out. It was a very long wait in traffic on holiday weekend. We got in easily all other days.

Honeymoon Island has a little something for everyone. Swimming , shelling, hiking. Or you can just sit and relax and take in the view and listen to the water as it crashes against the shore. Also a huge playground with covered picnic areas. Perfect for hosting your event. There's also a great dog beach. Where dogs can also enjoy the water and the sand. There's also a cafe in the main Beach. The county sure has tried to keep the rocks to a minimum. South Beach still has a lot of rocks. But Oasis is beautiful not quite as Rocky. Another Day in Paradise!!!

We went here for the dog beach experience. It’s a pretty spot and big beach. Dog had a great time. Most dogs are leashed. A few well behaved dogs off leash. Three things to know: 1. it’s a pretty decent walk to get to the beach from the parking area so if you have mobility issues, this is not for you. 2. the beach has a lot of burr brambles scattered about. Wear water shoes or sandals that can get wet. You have to wade through about a foot of water to reach the beach. 3. Some days the mosquitoes can be aggressive so bug spray may be a welcome addition to your beach bag. If you are prepared for the above, you will have a great time and your dog will love it!

Might have just been the day we were there but the traffic to get in was horrendous! Didn't help that there is only 2 booths to pay at to get in. But once you're in you have multiple beaches to choose from. And the bathroom shacks are unique. I absolutely loved watching the sunset over the ocean. I think we went to Oasis Beach. I layed on the beach closed my eyes and everyone disappeared as there were a lot of people. I was left with the soothing sound of the waves and seagulls. The warm sun shining down on me. As it slowly lowered in the sky. Until it went beneath the waters edge. Everyone sending the sunset off with an applause.
