Categories: Islands, State Parks, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web
Caladesi Island State Park is one of the rare, completely natural Florida's islands in the Gulf and has a great beach. Accessible by boat or ferry, the park features a nature trail as well as picnic tables, pavilions, and a playground. You'll find a snack bar and a gift shop on-site. Hike the 5 km (3 mi) of trails and watch for birds feeding around the shallow waters. With a bit of luck, you may see turtles and tortoises. You can try kayaking through mangroves and in the bay.
