  • Loved the tour and historical information of the ship and area ore industry. Guide was knowledgeable and humorous at the same time.Would recommend to anyone in the area.  more »
  • what an experience. Children under 12 are free with a paid adult. How cool it was to see what the inside of the huge boats look like. Loved this and I am a local!  more »
  • It was an interesting one time thing. I wouldn't do it again but it was ok to experience once. The actors do a good job. They get close to you but do not touch you.  more »

  • Get ready to walk and do stairs. Fun tour. The biggest complaint is that the cargo hold is full of walls for the haunted ship, museum display and gift shop. I really wanted to get the feel for the size of the holds but you can't. Tour guide was great!
  • Prices are good. The tour guide threw in some jokes to give you a quick smile. Got to view most of the ship. Some of the ship wasn't able to be seen (boiler room), which was a bummer. Takes about an hour, well worth the time.
  • Super fun. Interesting history. LOTS OF STAIRS so steep much like a ladder! So if you have mobility issues (like me) be aware.
  • Great tour. Can't wait to try the huge haunted house they built in the hold below deck!
  • When I went I had a very friendly and energetic tour guide that involved the guests and made it very engaging. The gift shop is very extensive, but Also a little pricey. Make sure to go on a Tuesday when it is cheaper! It is very cool that the museum is the boat itself. The tour takes you through the whole boat, including going outside on top of the roof! Very fun, but also lots of ladders to climb so be careful!

Where to stay in Duluth

Canal Park and the downtown areas offer a full range of lodging, including tower hotels, national-chain motels, inns, and bed and breakfasts. For a more scenic stay, book accommodation with views of Lake Superior. Staying in Canal Park or downtown puts you within easy reach of numerous restaurants, shops, and attractions, but you should also consider bedding down in the historical area east of Chester Park. Many of the inns and bed and breakfasts here occupy turn-of-the-century mansions, and the neighborhood itself offers a quiet respite from busy downtown and Canal Park.
