  • Great property! It's well maintained and has friendly staff. I'm not going to specify the property but there is one close by that will be more expensive with fewer amenities. I'm a premium member with that brand and they didn't seem to care. I've been to Duluth 3 times over the past month and have stayed at the Canal Park Lodge every time. If you go.. a great multi use trail that is miles long is right along the lake, bring your running shoes. A great brew pub is right next door that I could go on and on about too. This property is two thumbs up.
  • Call the hotel directly for the best prices. Very nice hotel! Perfect location for bringing children to explore the canal. Great breakfast! You can save money by buying tickets to local attractions at the front desk. Best hotel on the canal.
  • It was a great hotel to stay at with friendly staff and a welcoming environment. The breakfast was above what we had thought it was going to be. Room's were very clean, well stocked, and they were keep this way during our entire stay. The view of Lake Superior was perfect as well. We will be staying here again and recommending this location to anyone who is going to Duluth to stay.
  • Staff was great. Room was clean. Breakfast was excellent. Didn't use the pool but they had extra towels to use. Ice and drink machines on every floor. Right next to the boardwalk so it was very convenient.
  • Service was excellent, staff was friendly. Location was decent, 7 minute walk to the north pier. The room I was in had a perfect view of the lake and any incoming ships

Where to stay in Duluth

Canal Park and the downtown areas offer a full range of lodging, including tower hotels, national-chain motels, inns, and bed and breakfasts. For a more scenic stay, book accommodation with views of Lake Superior. Staying in Canal Park or downtown puts you within easy reach of numerous restaurants, shops, and attractions, but you should also consider bedding down in the historical area east of Chester Park. Many of the inns and bed and breakfasts here occupy turn-of-the-century mansions, and the neighborhood itself offers a quiet respite from busy downtown and Canal Park.
