  • Beginning in mid November this park is transformed by an army of local volunteers armed with over four million lights into a Christmas wonderland of colour! This is a free walk through tour and to sweeten the magic free hot chocolate, cookies, and popcorn is offered. Near the central Xmas tree there is a plaza where numerous wood fires are available for marshmallow roasting also at no charge! This is a lovely community effort and it draws over 275,000 visitors through the Christmas Season! Bravo Duluth!
  • We were at Bentlyville to see the light show. It was a beautiful night for it and as a result, there were a lot of people. The light show was fun but the lines for the cookies, hot chocolate, and Santa were extremely long. The marshmallow lines were fast. If you want to experience everything, I recommend going when it is cold so fewer people are out.
  • We visited Bentyville (spelling?). It was great! We will incorporate this trip into our holiday activities once a year. The staff were very friendly and fun
  • There's always a musical festival during the spring and summer, but right now the most beautiful light show is happening! Bentleyville is a gorgeous place, and fun for all ages. I really recommend checking out this beautiful piece of Duluth
  • Wonderful! If you like lights it is definitely worth the trip. $5 parking, dress warm, have fully charged cameras and phones for pictures. Great for kids!

Where to stay in Duluth

Canal Park and the downtown areas offer a full range of lodging, including tower hotels, national-chain motels, inns, and bed and breakfasts. For a more scenic stay, book accommodation with views of Lake Superior. Staying in Canal Park or downtown puts you within easy reach of numerous restaurants, shops, and attractions, but you should also consider bedding down in the historical area east of Chester Park. Many of the inns and bed and breakfasts here occupy turn-of-the-century mansions, and the neighborhood itself offers a quiet respite from busy downtown and Canal Park.
