  • Fascinating that residents preferred the denuded and eroded landscape. Landscape restoration brought allergies and bugs and animals, such as snakes.

  • Ducktown is one of the most important sites in the US for understanding American history in mining and environment, and this museum is a great way to learn about those issues. Ken gives a great talk about the mining and environmental history in this area.
  • The lady who works here lived here her whole life and is a walking talking encyclopedia.
  • Ducktown has a lot of history. The lady in the museum was very kind and knowledgeable of the area and artifacts.
