  • I stayed here for just one night. The location is convenient to what I was in Dubuque for. I did not participate in any waterpark activities so I cannot comment on that.  more »
  • We have heard nothing but great things about this place since it opened, but this was our 1st time here and even with using a Groupon it was not worth the price we paid. We were here on a Monday so it...  more »
  • Great place for kids. They really enjoy the water park and arcade. We really like that there's a Tony Roma' s restaurant in the hotel that provides room service. The rooms are nice and clean, beds are...  more »

  • I rate 4 stars because we found dog poop in our hotel room. Somebody must have had a dog in our hotel room before us because we found some dog poop behind the curtain which is understandable how the cleaning people missed it. Staff are very friendly and took care of the situation RIGHT away. Its amazing! Very large water-park with lots of water-slides! The hotel rooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable. The river view is so pretty at night and in the mornings. There is a small balcony meant for show but you can kinda step on it (One of the only hotels with a sliding door). There are lots of restaurants and things to do in the area and it is very close to the aquarium.
  • We were disappointed in our stay when we scheduled a last minute get away for my birthday and my son's birthday. On checkout day the hot tubs had been closed. Their liquor license had been pulled but was not announced prior to our arrival- also so no drinks at the pool or hotel restaurant. Several small things added up to us not being impressed for the money we spent. However, when I contacted the hotel about our stay they offered us a complimentary stay. So for that I give 4 stars. It isn't often anymore that it feels the service industry, especially hotels, really values customer service and feedback. I was just hoping they would acknowledge me since so many never respond. To my surprise they offered to make it up to us. Keep up the great customer service because it DOES matter when you acknowledge your patrons!
  • Our kids love going to the water park there. However I will never get a room there again. Last year we got 2 rooms for our sons birthday, the bathrooms seemed like they could use a good scrub and they were kinda gross. Also the hotel made extra charges to our credit card. We called them over and over again left messages, but to this day we still don't know what they are for.
  • We have been coming here for years. The location is good. The combination of water park (we have kids), proximity to the aquarium, the river walk, and other nearby attractions make it a good base for a regional trip. It feels like what it is--a big convention center, corporate run hotel. The staff are very pleasant. The rooms are clean and the river views are nice (the other side overlooks a casino so plan ahead). The rooms are laid out nicely, but there was some serious short cutting on materials. I had to put both closet door back in their tracks to unpack. The tracks are so shallow the doors pop out if you breathe. The shower door is made of super thin plexiglass and torques alarmingly. The water park is good for younger to middle aged kids. There is a good sized toddler play area, a lazy river, two 4 foot activity pools, a mid sized spray/climbing structure, and 3 larger slides. Not enough to keep older/teen kids entertained for long. Many of the levers and knobs that control sprays need repair. The restaurant, Tony Roma's, should be avoided at all cost. The food is bad to mediocre and the whole operation is sloppily run. Yesterday they made my kid the wrong dinner and brought it out anyway 'in case he'd want it'. He's 8. He felt terrible for the waiter so he took it even though it is food he doesn't like. They did not adjust the bill at all. In fact they charged us for what they made which cost more than what we ordered. Last visit the spinach omelette was made with spinach artichoke dip. It was inedible. We keep coming back so the bad must outweigh the food, but if we didn't have kids we'd stay somewhere else.
  • We visited for about an hour to play games in the arcade. It has a good variety of typical games: ticket games, a gun game, a driving game, basketball, skee ball and more. Only a few games were down. Unfortunately the Football Fortune game wasn't paying out the correct amount of tickets so avoid it. We had a great time.
