Golf Club of Dublin, Dublin

3.5
#7 of 7 in Things to do in Dublin
Golf Club of Dublin offers golfers one of the most unique and memorable golf experiences in the Midwest. The 18-Hole Championship layout was designed by Hurdzan/Fry Golf Design. The Club's sod face bunkers and stacked stone walls leave a lasting impression on players of any skill level. A 10,000 sq ft Tudor-style clubhouse complements the outstanding golf course design and puts the finishing touch on the Irish theme of the property and its surrounding neighborhood.

  • This is a nice course but $70 for a non-bent grass course is a little much, and the course is not very challenging - very little water, green side bunkers etc... and the greens are very large. In my o...  more »

  • My cousin had a wedding there a couple of weeks ago. The golf club itself was beautiful and the course was nice. The grass, however, looked like it hadn't been mowed since last summer and there were no flowers planted the day before the wedding. The wedding planner was rude to everyone but the bride and groom, and left an hour and a half before the event was over. She promised my cousin that she would have the open bar covered up, as my cousin did not want any alcohol because there were a fair amount of children present. The wedding coordinator promised that it would be covered the day before the wedding, but when we got there the next day, it was still uncovered. Everything was chaotic, unorganized, and rushed. The rest of the staff were very nice and helpful. Nothing seemed very well planned out. Everything seemed to be done as an afterthought. Had it not been for the maid of honor (who also happened to be the bride's sister) and another bridesmaid (another sister), the wedding would have been a disaster.
  • Enjoyed the bottomless cod basket! To live for! Marguerites were not too impressive!
  • Greens are in good shape not crowed reasonable rates
  • Lovely practice area, Fairways were nice but the greens got a bit fuzzy on the back 9. For the price I would of expected the greens to be mowed and rolled daily. GPS on the golf carts is a nice touch but don't rely solely on them as they like to reset often during your round. Other than that it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend it if you don't mind paying about $20-30 more than your usual public course.
  • Golf club of Dublin is tucked away in a residential area but you don't feel like you're in the suburbs. This is the nicest course I've been to in the Columbus area. The golf carts have touch screen navigation built in so you can keep score and contact the clubhouse if needed. Speaking of the clubhouse, it's really nice! Pretty decent food, a full bar and a pretty extensive pro shop.
