  • My husband, dog, and I camped in Campground D here in a pop-up camper for 5 nights. It's one of the best state parks we've camped in across many states. I'd recommend it and stay here again. PROS: -Large campsites that aren't too close together -Hiking trails back up right behind the sites, couldn't be easier to get to -Pretty quiet overall -Super close to marina and beach so easy to do water sports without driving far -Fun to have the horseshoe pits -Nicely maintained trails - great for trail running -Bugs aren't too bad -Level sites that are gravel and don't flood -Nice trees at sites to tie up a hammock and clothesline -Shaded sites NEUTRAL: -Bathrooms are standard and average for state park campgrounds -Average amount of time to get to nearby stores for supplies CONS: -WiFi doesn't work anywhere -Phone reception is spotty -No laundry facilities here -Not enough sink space to put your toiletries
  • Overall the park is fine, I only hesitate to give it 5 stars because it does feel a tad small. The amount of shoreline you can walk is quite limited because after only a short distance you're cut off by where the cabin area begins. Otherwise the water, facilities, and everything else was fine.
  • Great park, nice trails, plenty of areas to fish from the bank or small docks. Park offers a boat launch parking. There is a beach area with a platform with a diving board. The camo ground is outstanding. Very clean park well taken care of.
  • A quiet place to just enjoy. I took my puppy to play in the water, she loved it.
  • Great place to lay back and enjoy time with the family. Nice camping grounds with walking trails and some amenities. Very well maintained but very busy around major holidays.
