  • Fantastic man-made lake. State park offers fishing, camping, boating, playgrounds, trails, a small beach w/lifeguard in season(pay additional price for entry), and lots of beautiful VA wildlife. It's great to just take a drive in and stop to feed the ducks (research proper food choices as bread is loved but not too good for them). There are boats and cabins to rent...and stores outside/in for snacks/basics/souvenirs. They hold various programs during the Summer and celebrations! You can rent covered tables for a cookout to celebrate a wedding, birthday, or such. Plenty of fast food/diners/gas stations/hotels outside park. Great vacation spot. Fishing tournaments take place as well as free kids fishing day. So much to do and see!! If you visit out of season, pay fee in envelope at entrance booth. Always clean up your mess and make sure camp fires are out. Enjoy!
  • Stopped here overnight traveling from NC to NJ. Beautiful campground, huge sites, impeccably clean grounds and bathhouse. The host and staff deserve a thumbs up for a great job! Hopefully we will be able to return someday and spend some time here!
  • Love the beauty of God's creation. Very well maintained and great trails and love the lake. Just wish you could camp down at the lake.
  • The park has every thing you need from water skiing to tubing to swimming. I know alot of great people who work here and they all love it there.
  • Very beautiful! Will go fishing here again! Also love the fireworks show here!!
