  • This was another one of our vineyard stops across the Texas Hill Country. The Duchman Family grounds were vast and beautiful, as though modeled after an estate in Italy. This makes sense of course giv...  more »
  • Very difficult to find so good Italian grapes in Texas. The Montepulciano and the Vermentino are great. Fantastic service.  more »
  • Beautiful place but wine is just so so. The grounds are pretty. They offer snacks to go with your wine.  more »
  • Went here with friends on recommendations from others. The facility and surrounding area are gorgeous. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Esposa and I each did a tasting, splitting evenly between the 11 wines. Unfortunately, we found a fair number these wines overly simplistic and not on par with other wines in the area. A fair number of our tastings went into the dump bucket. The better wines were approachable and offered some depth and complexity. This is a winery that we'll watch and likely return to, in hopes of better wines.
  • Nice, relaxed Saturday afternoon/evening celebration under the oaks for my wife's aunt"s 94th birthday. She's been a huge fan of Duchman wines and we sat at a picnic table listening to some great music, eating various appetizers, pizza and salad and enjoying bottles of Sangiovese and Vermentino.
  • Another fancy winery with focus on their restaurant next door and the estate. Mediocre wines that didn't leave a strong impression but had a nice light white.
  • Horrible customer service.. I'd advise to go to other wineries in the area.
  • Every part of our experience was better than the last! The staff was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. Not only were they great at their jobs but they were fun to conversations with and really added to the fun atmosphere! We were traveling with a group of ten and every single person found at least one ( some of us four or five) wine that they absolutely loved. The wine was not only delicious but also very well priced. After our experience in the tap room we decided to have dinner. The food is delicious! Where as some of the hill country wineries offer little prepackaged snacks, Duchman has a full restaurant with bar. After a long day of wine tasting a few of us were pleasantly surprised to find a full bar with other options. The food was amazing. Not 'good for a the only place in the middle of nowhere' good. It was genuinely delicious and would rival many of the Italian restaurants in the city. An over all fabulous experience!
