  • Drove here from shreveport to see some beautiful countryside. We were SO underwhelmed. We drove to the docks and NO water! Apparently, they drained the lake in may because of invasive plants. The camp...  more »
  • Relaxing, lots of great benefits/events, gorgeous scenery. One of the benefits there are The Brothers Keepers MC Burn Run for Camp I'm Still Me every year. There is RV parking also.  more »
  • We went out of the way for this over night stop. A little disappointed, the bathrooms and showers and pretty much the park itself could use some care. The upside is the new-ish decks on some sites. Ou...  more »

  • It was a perfect, still, sunny 70 degree afternoon. We had the park virtually to ourselves as ee listened to the sounds of nature. We observed a herd of deer and an egret who appeared to be nesting.
  • Super glad to see the park open. One of my favorite places to camp.
  • A nice park. But expensive. $41.64. There was no water in the lake. We spent $3.50 for a much nicer place just one night later. But there were several pretty trails through the woods and facilities for horse back riding.
  • Such a nice, quiet place to go relax with your sweetheart or bring the kids. Camper hook ups, cottages for those that don't have a camper. Swimming, parks, hiking trails, loads of fun to be had I even attended the 17th annual Mardi Gras parade
  • Great spot to run some trails (ongest one is 4 miles I believe). Park ranger & staff were very friendly.
