Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village, Dover

(4.3/5 based on 55+ reviews on the web)
For the child who believes milk comes from the grocery store instead of a cow, for the woman who remembers using a cornsheller on her grandmother's farm, the family who takes twentieth century technological advances and the farmer for granted, the Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village offers a memorable and educational experience. By preserving the quickly fading agricultural heritage of Delaware and the Delmarva Peninsula, the Museum stands as an important legacy for future generations.

  • Attended a wedding held at the grounds of the museum. During the downtime, we were able to walk around and explore the complex. It was very fascinating and 1 hour was not enough to see everything here. I would highly recommend stopping by, especially if you have children.
  • Very friendly, knowledgeable staff!!
  • Give it a try. It's much bigger than it appears from the highway. There's plenty for kids to do. They even have chickens you can feed & pet. There's a room called the Touch of History if your child likes to play "teacher" or play "cook" in a kitchen. Little kids play for hours in this room. Also great for birthday parties. Plan on spending an hour or more visiting both indoor exhibit areas & the outdoor 1890's Village on Silver Lake. Come on in and visit, you won't be sorry. No one is ever disappointed! This is not a State run Museum so they need your support!
