Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village, Dover
(4.3/5 based on 55+ reviews on the web)
For the child who believes milk comes from the grocery store instead of a cow, for the woman who remembers using a cornsheller on her grandmother's farm, the family who takes twentieth century technological advances and the farmer for granted, the Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village offers a memorable and educational experience. By preserving the quickly fading agricultural heritage of Delaware and the Delmarva Peninsula, the Museum stands as an important legacy for future generations.

  • We went to this museum as a small homeschool field trip. We didn't take the tour, but we walked around and "toured" ourselves. When we first walked inside, we saw a gift shop. A nice lady at the front...  more »
  • First time visiting during this event. Great event for day of family fun. Lots of different craft tables set up for the children. Historic buildings decorated with different activities going on inside...  more »
  • I went a few months ago whent eh rain barrel display was there. I was inspired to "dress up" my own and will go back next year now that I know this display is there.

  • Attended a wedding held at the grounds of the museum. During the downtime, we were able to walk around and explore the complex. It was very fascinating and 1 hour was not enough to see everything here. I would highly recommend stopping by, especially if you have children.
  • Very friendly, knowledgeable staff!!
  • Give it a try. It's much bigger than it appears from the highway. There's plenty for kids to do. They even have chickens you can feed & pet. There's a room called the Touch of History if your child likes to play "teacher" or play "cook" in a kitchen. Little kids play for hours in this room. Also great for birthday parties. Plan on spending an hour or more visiting both indoor exhibit areas & the outdoor 1890's Village on Silver Lake. Come on in and visit, you won't be sorry. No one is ever disappointed! This is not a State run Museum so they need your support!
