Arbor Place Mall, Douglasville
(3.6/5 based on 60+ reviews on the web)
Arbor Place Mall, the only regional mall directly serving the growing western suburbs of Atlanta, is located in Douglasville, Georgia, in Douglas County. Opened in October 1999, the mall was originally to be anchored by Dillard's, Parisian, Sears, and Upton's. The Upton's chain folded prior to the opening of the mall, but the contract to build the store was still completed, resulting in a vacant anchor when the mall opened. A home improvement chain named Dekor took over the Upton's site in 2000. The chain folded in 2001 and once again left the mall with a vacant anchor space. In 2003, JCPenney took over the site. The two-level mall has been very successful and was the first to bring upscale shopping to an underserved area. Shoppers previously had to travel long distances to other Atlanta area malls. Rich's, long planned to open at the mall, finally opened as Rich's-Macy's in 2004, one of only two stores signed with the hyphen. In 2005 the Rich's name was dropped, and became just Macy's. Arbor Place Mall was built by and is still owned by CBL & Associates.Along with this, Arbor Place Mall enforces a youth escort policy, known as YEP, stating youths under 17 must be accompanied by an adult on Friday and Saturday nights after 6:00pm. This applied to the entire mall and is strictly enforced.

  • There are so many shops you can shop till you drop. The food court has a lot of selections as well, Variety is at this mall along with Movies.
  • Good shops, decent food court. and of course Movie theatre. its the mall not much to really say. Lots of choices, Me and the wife will come once a month, for lunch and window shopping or a movie.
  • This mall is definately a weekend mall...meaning that during the week there are no crowds and a perfect shopping atmosphere. Very good assortment of stores, the only thing lacking is a nice sit-down r...  more »

  • The shops are very good here. The reasoning for rating at a 3 is because of the disrespectful crowds that seem to always be there. Hey are trying to revamp by extra security and the like. Maybe this is just representative of this town, not sure. But, every time we go at night to watch a movie or something, the younger crowds are very disrespectful. Daytime is great! Go before dark :-)
  • This mall has some great stores. I do feel like it keeps steadly going down hill. I think it might be time for a revamp. Most everyone i talk with in the stores are nice. The mall still has a lot of relevant stores with great products. This mall is also a while away from me, so its not always my first choice. It does have a lot of food places and other stores nearby and its right off the interstate. So it is nice if you need something quick!
  • The mall is well outside of the perimeter but can be accessed via back road in SW Atlanta. The mall has many of the stores most people seek. The stand outs are Johnny Rockets and a Regal theater. Great place to visit even if out the way.
  • A pretty typical mall. Anchors include Macy's, Dillards, jc penny and Sears. Selections in these stores is lacking compared to other locations of the same stores. Beyond that, the food court is decent sized with a few food varieties. Other draws include Old Navy, a small BAM, and fye. Security is tight on evenings and weekends on kids without supervision. It generally meets my family needs.
  • The movie theater is makes this mall a step above others. They have a nice store selection, but some of their more popular store have relocated elsewhere.
