  • So - think about this - you stand in what looks like a big field, on the prairie in Kansas, and as far as you can see is, well, just prairie grass and the every present wind. You and I will stop, look...  more »
  • These are some of the best I've seen, and I've been to several dozen locations of the trail from Arrow Rock to Santa Fe. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you've never seen the tracks the wagons ...  more »
  • Nice place to stop and strectch your legs. Paved walking path with information kiosks along the trail. Also has QR scanners for more information on your phone  more »

  • Neat place to stop off the road to get out and stretch. Very lonely place. Neat to see the old wagon wheel ruts cemented in the earth all those years ago. It makes you think about the struggles the people went through that traveled the trail.
  • Interesting location with great views and lots of meadow larks.
  • Beautiful views of the high plains prairie and valley of the (now dry) Arkansas River. Faint wagon trails still visible across the landscape.
