  • It is a ramshackle homestead without much historic significance. We had more fun just running around the fields surrounding the house than the house itself. Josie Morris' actual story is 10xmore inter...  more »
  • This is an interesting side trip to a historic cabin. Not sure how much is original because there is a long list of donors who helped with the restoration. It is pretty rustic, so I expect it is mostl...  more »
  • There are brochures you can pick up about this site and you should. She was an incredible woman, living and ranching in the wild for decades, basically alone. Not a great amount left of her ranch, but...  more »

  • We had a nice visit to this historic cabin. It is amazing that a woman could live alone for so many years in such tough conditions. She must have been a very strong woman. The trip to the cabin is a short walk from the car. It is worth the drive to see how she lived. Take some time to wonder the nearby trails and imagine if you could live like that now or 50+ years ago.
  • Quiet, peaceful and amazing views are at Josie's cabin! See how a lady lived for 50 years with no running water, electricity or sewer. Everything is well preserved, easy to drive to even in the smallest of cars, and restroom facilities are right there on site.
  • The cabin is at the end of the Tour of Tilted Rocks. It's really interesting to see how someone lived off of the land, and to temporarily put yourself in Josie Morris's shoes. There's a bathroom at this location which is really convenient.
  • This is such a beautiful place, no wonder she chose to live here. It's a must see during your visit.
  • Nice walking around the cabin grounds, a few picnic tables and cleared paths. A fairly long drive on dirt road to get here.
