Where to stay in Detroit

Detroit offers accommodations to suit every type of traveler, and you don't even have to stay in the central business district to take advantage of the finest hotels. Downtown lodging gives you easy access to most of the city's major attractions, but choosing a more affordable room in Detroit's outlying neighborhoods can also be rewarding. To explore the city's famously diverse neighborhoods, consider staying at a budget-friendly guesthouse on the southwestern side of the city.

  • We went to Slows and since there was a 1.5 hour wait, came here for a drink or two. It is a fairly quiet place, nicely decorated with a big drink menu built around their spirits. I had a Russian mule,...  more »
  • Going for a quick drink here is fine. No menu so probably wouldn't stay here long, but we decided to take the distillery tour. Price is not bad at $25/person as you get to try about 10 different types...  more »
  • Extensive menu with great cocktails. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly, great drinks, learned a lot and met new friends!  more »

  • I just loved this place! Great decor and atmosphere. They have several types of liquor and every one is so unique. If you are not sure what to ask for, their friendly and helpful staff will guide you. They also serve a wide variety of interesting and delicious signature cocktails. I definitely would recommend this place and comeback someday.
  • They make really good stuff. Fancy but reasonably priced cocktails. Take home liquor bottles are pricey but very nice quality. Inside establishment is nice but a bit small. 4.5 stars
  • Visiting from Austin I have to say this is one of the best distillery experiences I've had. Great array of cocktails for each one of their spirits and every time I've gone I've picked up a bottle since it's so unique compared to what you get at pretty much any other distillery. Catcher in the Rye is an incredible whiskey, I can't wait to see it show up in Texas one day.
  • Great spirits. Great atmosphere. A stones throw from anyone in Windsor. Well worth the 15 min drive
  • Interesting architecture, fun looking place that is deceptive. Looks like nothing from the outside, but quite a refreshing surprise once you enter the door! Did not go there at the right time to get a chance to tour the Brewery. Lots of exotic bottles of alcohol on offer for purchase. Friendly staff.
