  • Great gem of a store! Lots of fun finds at decent prices. Everyone in our party found something of interest. I love the look of the building with it’s old floors. It’s like your favorite old book...

  • John King Books is the kind of bookstore any bibliophile would love to have in their hometown!! I've been buying books from John King for some 40 years. Started when the store was over on Bagley...

  • Wow, just wow... so much to look at.
  • This bookstore is fabulous, with 4 massive floors (4 stories!) of books of every imaginable genre, plus comic books, magazines, record albums, photos, etc., and amazing artwork lining the stairway, also for sale. An added plus is the historical antiquity of the building, itself... just beautiful! I could just get lost in there for an entire day! It's well worth planning a visit to, or just spontaneously stopping into if you're passing through the neighborhood! It's very conveniently located just off the Lodge Freeway.
  • Love it here. Smells amazing like old trees. I was pulling my mask down just to get a whiff. I always spend hours here and love it. The staff are friendly and helpful too!
  • Seen this place for years driving by on the expressway and finally got a chance to check it out. Huge place, with 4 floors but they give you a detailed map when you enter that shows you the various sections on each floor which is extremely helpful. If you like used book browsing this place in the best around.
  • If you want something to read, you will find it here. If you find something here that you never knew existed, you'll want to read it. If you find something that you never knew existed and don't want to read it, you're at the wrong place. This place is amazing and I'm so happy I found it!
