Wasn't a bad casino. Very big and lots of turns and steps and elevators. Has all new games as well as tables.
Played slots - really tight won't give up a dime. Roulette was good. Dealer had no personality and never smiled. I won none the less. Go during the day during the week, the smoke is at a minimum.
Good place with some caveats, the room showed wear with some broken handles, but the room was nice and sheets soft. The towels were also nice. Service was friendly and helpful and the feeling was comf... read more »
I'm not into gambling but I love this hotel. Great location, service and rooms. Awesome views of the city. Plus free parking for guests.
I like Greektown Casino. In the end, my review isn't determined by whether I win or lose. It is more based on environment and employee service. The location is great as well. I would recommend this place to friends.
This hotel is crap! Every time I try to make a reservation there is an issue. I reserved a room online and even received a confirmation number. The next day I get an email stating that at the time I reserved a room they were sold out. I called and all they could say was "Sorry the online system must be slow." Really!?! That's a poor excuse!! Never trying to book a room there again!
During my last visit, I was actually pleasantly surprised by the lack of smoke I felt I was inhaling. Maybe they installed a new ventilation system or something, but I was much more comfortable than previous visits. Great location and easy to get to/park. I like to pop in every now and then when I am in the area bar-hopping.
The Greektown Casino-Hotel had been advertising lately that they've completely remodeled their facility and I was able to check it out before going to the Tiger's opening day game. Though I had been to Greektown several times before the remodeling, it didn't necessarily seem to have changed much. The only thing I really noticed was that they had rearranged where some of the games are in relation to each other, but that just made it harder to find the table that you are looking for. Either way, the Greektown Casino is a pretty nice place, particularly when compared to the other local casinos.
