Where to stay in Detroit

Detroit offers accommodations to suit every type of traveler, and you don't even have to stay in the central business district to take advantage of the finest hotels. Downtown lodging gives you easy access to most of the city's major attractions, but choosing a more affordable room in Detroit's outlying neighborhoods can also be rewarding. To explore the city's famously diverse neighborhoods, consider staying at a budget-friendly guesthouse on the southwestern side of the city.

  • I love comerica park. There is much to do besides watch the game or event you're there to see. A Detroit treasure for sure.  more »
  • I have been to Comerica Park for probably 50 games over the 17 years it has been opened. Sat in nearly ever section except right behind home plate and there isn't a bad view in the place. This time we...  more »

  • Probably one of the best ball parks in the nation. Beautiful, modern, lots of fun. Perfect place to spend a summer evening or afternoon. Even if you are not a crazy Tiger fan, it offers decent selection of food and drinks, rides for the little ones and countless opportunities of people watching. And when the game is good, the place is lit!
  • It's an easy walk if you live close and don't have to worry about parking. Otherwise, parking will be very difficult for game days. It's a clean park with a friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful views of the Detroit skyline with good seats. Great place for a ball game!
  • Not my absolute favorite park, but very nice. Great area around ballpark. Parking areas all around well within walking distance. All seating have good viewing angles and seats can be found for most games at great pricing.
  • Great stadium. All seats are good though a bit tight for large people. Several handy cap seating areas. $6.50 for stadium hotdog, so bring extra cash. Bathrooms are well maintained. Good security. All bags are checked at entry. You can bring in water bottles and snack foods. We took in sandwiches.
  • I will never forget the care and kindness the staff showed me when I brought an ill friend to his final ballgame. They went out of their way to assist. The ballpark is modern with great sightlines, wide concourses, plenty of concessions and ample parking.
